Support the fundamental, constitutional rights of parents to raise and educate their children, including their rights to direct the care, custody, control, upbringing, moral and religious training, and medical care of their children. (TXGOP Plank #268)
Texas families should be empowered to choose from public, private, charter, or homeschool options for their children’s education, using tax credits or exemptions without government restraints or intrusion. (TXGOP Plank #141)
Teachers have notoriously been underfunded, and I am committed to increasing Teacher Pay through creating new revenue streams and tax base in these rural communities.
If elected would be willing to sponsor a bill for an amendment to explicitly recognize the natural, unalienable right to refuse vaccination in the Texas Bill of Rights.
A JOINT RESOLUTION - proposing a constitutional amendment relating to the natural, unalienable right to refuse vaccination.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Article I, Texas Constitution, is amended by adding Section 35 to read as follows:
Sec. 35. The unalienable natural right of the people to refuse vaccination shall not be infringed. Because the right is unalienable, it cannot be bargained away, and therefore vaccination shall not be made a condition of employment, travel, doing business..., receiving governmental services, or any other action.
SECTION 2. This proposed constitutional amendment shall be submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 2, 2021.
The ballot shall be printed to permit voting for or against the proposition: "The constitutional amendment recognizing the right of the people to refuse vaccination."
